Larch was a Manhattan clerk in danger from the ongoing World War Two and the attacks of a clan she'd crossed before. In her attempt to escape death, she landed into a different dimension and met the rival she had killed before: Enorise Haliyan. It was an awkward reunion, mostly because the dead girl have no memory of her past life.
Crest Dawning is a phenomenon that creates a passageway to a place where the dead can retrieve their memories. With the grappling noose of disastrous love, Larch had to help her long-dead enemy remember her past and save everyone from a dimensional collapse. She had to forge her newfound abilities into shape, or else both the dead and the living would have been killed in the city where mirrors replaced the stars.
