Demons from Jackheights [Book 1]

Synopsis:

Maha regrets falling in love with her stepbrother's best friend, especially after he calls her a child and says she isn't his type. Hino is not her type either. He's a cold and callous bully who brews hot and cold with every meeting. Things change when the prodigy athlete pursues a physical relationship with her. Maha should be thrilled that her crush is finally taking an interest but there's something dark and sinister lurking behind those calculating eyes. A secret that ties him to her new family. A dangerous truth that might tilt her entire world off its axis.

By day, Hino (He-no) is a prodigy athlete, adored by his entire school. By night, he works part-time with investor, entrepreneur, and mafia don, Yusuf Abdul. Hino manages his double life flawlessly...until he meets Maha. She's young and naive. She's his boss's stepdaughter and his best friend's stepsister. She doesn't know anything about the family business and she seems to be in love with Hino. Although he initially rejects her, Hino is quick to realize that her attention isn't something he's willing to share. Every line he crosses to keep her single puts his personal and professional relationships at risk. Every inappropriate encounter with her threatens a dangerous collision that could cost him his life.
