Mature
Bad blood runs deep. This phrase rings particularly true when a race of people as old as time itself and even stronger are met with their ultimate demise in the sweet scent of decay: The Basilisk and the Cockatrice. Members of these races are weakening and falling straight through death's door. Age old bloodlines and clans are coming to an end, and the rising tension has everyone with claws and talons at each other's throats. Caught in the center of this bloody battle to secure the right to continue living, is the last generation of both races and the last hope for survival. It's too bad that they don't feel like being the beast of burden for everyone's expectations... Not. This. Time.

The story starts out slow as I build details, but bear with me.

Now is the godless era - the time when humans reigned without guidance from the divine. In this universe that you are about to witness... There were five races leading the planet. They are the Divinus, Zoans, Elvens, Humans, and Daemons. A thousand years ago, the gods, or the Divinus, were the most powerful beings to ever exist. They were scattered across the Earth, ruling one realm after another. With a myriad of mighty celestial life forms, the divine was bound to have foes. Those who were cast out by their fellow gods turned into Daemons. And they became the fiend in the eyes of the supreme beings. Vowing to destroy everything the Divinus created, Daemons waged a never-ending war against the gods. Caught between their fury, the Humans, Elvens, and Zoans... ...Along with many other races, were trampled in the middle ground. Leading to a stain in their faith and moralities. Then comes the twist from fate... For unknown reasons, the gods suddenly vanished. Along with some of their sworn enemies, the daemons. Those who remained on Earth were left with a void to fill. And ever since the godless age began, humanity raced to the top - in hopes of replacing the gods they once worshipped. Now, a thousand years later... The current era is at peace. In the Western continent, the strongest empire, Ulnzvet - looms over the world with an unknown darkness. And it lurks behind the shadows... Right before the dawn of sinners and their unholy sabbath.

"You were apparently picked up at the last minute. The original Skywing egg was destroyed, but luckily we were delivered your egg, unfortunately we ended up raising a lazy Rainwing as well." "But Mudwings and Skywings are our enemies! And the Skywing could be a spy for all we know!! He looks just like a Seawing!" "Is he ok? The strange blue dragon has been muttering in his sleep. Not sure if it was the sleeping darts, but he was muttering some words or something..." "We'll have to kill the blue Skywing, too. He seems pretty useless other than not looking like a real Skywing and refusing to act like one." "Look, whatever you tell us, no matter what, we'll always be your friends!" ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ This story is basically Wings of Fire, but there is a Wings of Sky. The twist is that the Skywing is James, or Phoenix in this story. Basically James gets pulled into a portal that takes him to the WoF universe, and in order to go back to his home he has to do one thing: help the rest of the dragonets stop the war. I'll be keeping Glory in bc I don't wanna leave out our sassy Rainwing queen, and also bc plot. Of course, there will be plenty of things that will change, which you will see as the story progresses! Keep in mind that characters may act OOC (Out Of Character) to fit my writing style, so I don't want to see any of you yell at me about it. If you have a problem with this then either be nice about it or leave the book. Small heads up: This will contain spoilers for the first 5 Wings of Fire books from The Dragonet Prophecy to The Brightest Night. If you have not read those books yet I suggest you read them, but otherwise you are free to read this. (warnings will be on the first page due to lack of space in description) Credit: WOF characters and dragon tribes here all belong to Tui T. Sutherland. The Discord Gang characters belong to their respective owners. Any artwork belongs to me unless I say otherwise!

Darkstalker's face flashed through her mind: the face of a dragon she had yet to meet, but whose face came with a torrent of visions--joy and love and pain and horror, so mixed-up she couldn't untangle it, couldn't even breathe when she thought about it. -Legends: Darkstalker What would the world have been like if Darkstalker hadn't gotten started down his path of darkness? If he hadn't started doing secret spells? Or if Clearsight had just noticed a little faster than she did? Or if the future had just been a little easier to reach? This is the story of two dragons whose futures are entangled far too closely. This is the story of hope and hopelessness, and of how the future is something you can lose. This is a story of how happy endings can fall apart, and how life is never neat. Or easy. This is a story of how happy endings can fall apart, and how to put them back together again. All characters, except my OCs, and the world of Pyrhhia, belong to Tui T. Sutherland. ***USUALLY UPDATES EVERY FRIDAY***
