He was right.
Izuku idolized them. Katsuki praised them. Eijirou looked up to them. Shoto's own father was one. Years of conditioning fooled them into a false sense of security, thinking the heroes were there to help them; to protect them. Their naivety was what kept them from sifting through the lies and finally seeing the flawed, cruel system for what it was.
No one ever saw it coming.
