A 6 months before Sunset Curve was supposed to perform the band lost their number one fan and Alex Mercer lost his world. His younger twin sister Skyler. Skyler Mercer was a few days shy of her 17th birthday when she died. She had fought leukemia for 2 years as her cancer advanced her body gave out. She was always so strong for her and her brother. She was the first person Alex came out to and was so proud of him. Even on her worst days she fought their parents to treat Alex right. Above all, the boys were her family and she was theirs.

alex and amber had been inseparable since birth, but then again most twins are. and that included when alex began drumming for a band called sunset curve. though amber never the musical twin (with the exception of trying clarinet in the fifth grade), she supported her twin by being their manager and artistic director. but everything changed when the twins had a falling out and one of them died before anything could be resolved. until they see each other again many years later in the hollywood ghost club, but not in the way one may think.
