25 parts Ongoing When Kira Blackwood's name is reaped, she knows she's screwed. However, as she navigates through the opulent world of the Capitol, and then the arena itself, Kira starts to realize that maybe, just maybe, it's not the dead she should pity, but the Victor.
After all, no one ever really wins the Hunger Games. Survives, sure. But wins? Never.

Please Note:
This is set in a world where the 2nd Rebellion failed. All usurpers were executed (except those pesky star-crossed lovers, who knows where they ran off to), District 13 was destroyed for good (but District 12 was rebuilt, on the basis that the Capitol realized that it actually really needed coal), and the Hunger Games were reinstated.

Please note: This story is technically incomplete, bc I still want to write a few more scenes after the Games like the interviews and stuff, maybe of the Victory Tour, but I've marked it as complete bc...junior year of high school. Ain't no way that I'm finishing this anytime soon. Hopefully over Christmas break I'll get back around to it.
