Hegemonize Gently

A force shoved me to the side, my body turned as I stumbled sideways into the wall.

I caught myself with my hands and then catch a flash of maroon. My breathe hitches as I look up fast enough to lock eyes with the culprit for a brief moment.

I saw his eyes widen so slightly I thought it was an illusion, lips parted and an exhale before his head turned forward and he walked onwards.

My ears pick up the sound of the person being called. Eyes widening at the voice and the revelation it brought.

Frantically, a step is taken forward but I lose sight of his figure which disappeared into the crowd. On my tippy toes, I tried to look over a peers.

I sigh as I land back on my heals, confusion bubbling inside of me.

"... Sebastian?"

Lyla Evaclaire is a high middle class citizen of Mercia of european-asian background. She bares a beautiful innocent appearance that shines in her personality. At 18 years old, she is still sheltered and very doted upon by her parents and friends, resulting in her innocence and naivety. Sebastian Xavier Monatelli, a prodigy from a young age, an only child, and an heir. A warm personality preserved only for close ones, he shows respect for others but his cold attitude earned him several reputations. No one can get near him.

Oaksford academy requires a long entry process but creates the highest society profile and morally adequate students ready to take on high positions in the country. Power inside the school is distributed based only on the student's efforts and skills. Family background and money have no significance to the academy and they cannot get you accepted into the academy or give you power or influence within the academy. A justice filled system with only the highest moral interest in mind.

However, corruption will always be present, just some places will hide it better than others.
