Alya was willing to travel to the ends of the world to help Val. It was the least she could do after everything that had happened. But going to Ravka through the Fold to save the alleged sun summoner while keeping the kid she had to bring along alive was not what she had in mind when she said she'd help.

When Anwir said he was on a vacation, he meant that he was going to spent a week relaxing in his little house without having to worry about whether the neighborhood kids stole his belongings. He definitely did not mean that he was going to take an old friend and a literal teenager sightseeing in The Fold.

In Bryn's defense they didn't mean to listen in on their adoptive mother's conversation with her friend about sunlight or something, nor did they mean to follow said mother's friend out of Ketterdam and get dragged into a whole mess along with a really cool guy who like ships.

In which three people who were brought together by fate or maybe just a really old grumpy cat try to navigate their way through the mess involving a sun summoner and dark mysterious shit.
