Nick has taken a leave of absence from the Team to mourn the deaths of Ted Grant, Wesley Dodds, and Alan Scott. He has also left the Team to help Artemis recover from Wally's death. A new threat will draw Nick back into the hero life. Now Nick, along with a new Team, will have to face the Light and the forces of Apokolips, who are working together to kidnap children and teens, to activate the Meta-Gene, then traffick them both on Earth, and throughout the galaxy. Nick will also help train a new Team as they try to find a kidnapped princess. He will face both old and new enemies. And will also have to discover his connection to a girl, who seems to have some interesting abilities.
