In this story Marinette is a butterfly fairy, captured by Hawkmoth who forced her to use her power of charmspeaking for his own evil goals. But thanks to Misterbug, she is now de-evilised and free to experience the outside world. However being free, doesn't mean years of captivity no longer effects her. Nor does it mean that she is completely safe from Hawkmoth.
