On a place, a planet, called Korukari, people live and strive as most people do. Only these people are called the Mimite. Animal like creatures are rare and plants are only really grown in specific area. The Mitite are like normal humans, but they can have animal like features. Magic is feared here. Though it's true everyone has a special ability, it can only be activated through touch and when they use it, their cheeks or eyes will fade in a light glow of what their eye color is. Korukari is a beautiful place, yet full of hellish rules that prevent so much.

Hostage. Prisoner. What ever you wish to call it. They won't let me nor my friends leave. Taken by a cannibalistic family and claimed I was being adopted into their family. I already have a family of my own. And what of my friends that's with me? They're the main course. In the little town of Norbury, Canada, there have been several people disappearing without a trace. A couple of my colleagues and I decided to do a news article and discover the reasons for all the missing people. However I never realized the horrors that would await us in the quiet little town. Centuries ago this was a great planet, now it's a husky shadow of its former beauty. Though the remnants of its former magic still linger it was destroyed by power hungry scientists. More tests to make more technology to go further, faster more this more that. Boom It all went up in flames, radiation spilled out into South America from the global power station in Brazil. The nuclear plant 15 times that of Chernobyl blew its top. The initial explosion flattened Brazil and the shockwaves were felt from the Florida keys. But the thing that truly ruined the world was the nuclear fallout. it rained down everywhere turning the world into a desolate wasteland deserts for miles and miles. Now you live in districts to survive, but what's the good in just being a number. Why would you look forward to a future of infant nothing, can you run from that? Where would you go? Where have the people who have escaped gone? Is that a future? What if there's someone who got left behind?
