Hermione has been keeping the secret of Ron's addiction since she came back from Hogwarts two years ago. She had found him there, drowning in alcohol when she entered their reeking flat. She didn't want to cause him any harm, until one day, Ron's drinking had gotten out of hand.
When Harry found Hermione in her flat and realized what Ron had done, he was enraged. He needed to keep her away from Ron as much as possible so that she wouldn't get even more hurt than she already was.
He needed to be there for her, as she did for him in all those years in Hogwarts together. What he didn't expect was their friendship to blossom into something else, and his feelings for Hermione that he ignored for years to grow unpredictably.
Both were unaware of their feelings for each other. It was just a nagging feeling in the back of their minds that were left neglected. Now that they are older, will they come to realize how strongly they feel for one another? Will they succumb to their desires and face the truth? Or will their feelings stay ignored at the back of their minds- right there, waiting?
