A cat, a pen, and a legendary pokemon. Before they know it, Chloe Liu, Juniper Zhang, and Jasper Huang are caught up in an uncontrollable see-saw between their familiar world and an alternate universe. At first, this all seems like a messy mistake of time; perhaps some immortal cat has been playing with the yarn ball of fate. However, to the trio's surprise, their coming to this second universe has been long awaited and prophesied as the beginning of an end to a long-lasting era of death and destruction. A composer, an artist, and an athlete. Their skills seem out of place and useless in this strange new world where sages roam the mountains and sword-wielding bandits terrorize the country. And yet bit by bit, things start falling into place. Seemingly random events and apparently insignificant decisions begin to lend clarity to the question: "How might the ordinary achieve the unordinary?" Together, the three learn the answer to this question, here on the passage of time. [cover is drawn by me, please don't use or repost/share without permission!]

Here she is. I can see the slope of her spine through that thin shirt. She's made of angles I ache to smooth with a hand, but I'd use my lips if she asked. I brush her knuckles with mine. Her skin is cold, but she flips her palm for more contact. I lace our fingers. It's enough to make her look at me. As those kaleidoscopic eyes meet mine, I hold my breath. Then she sets her lips just under my jaw. It rips the air from my lungs. It's the softest thing I've ever felt. "What was that for," I breathe. She pulls back, lashes damp, and whispers, "You're the kind of person that should be kissed." 𝙝𝙪𝙧𝙩 𝙥𝙚𝙤𝙥𝙡𝙚 𝙝𝙪𝙧𝙩 𝙥𝙚𝙤𝙥𝙡𝙚 BOOK TWO C O N T A I N S : ❤︎ mature content ❤︎ romance & friendship ❤︎ yearning Copyright © 2021-present Laurel Montaze (immoralLaurel).
