Yes this is partially a KarlNap, though I personally write more on the action/drama instead of the romance. Especially with a story like this.
The general story line is an AU where Karl forgets everything, but somehow still gets back to his world. So ya know, have fun.

A DreamSMP Fanfiction with Ranboo our beloved as the main character. Ranboo started to hear the voice of a man said to be named Dream after his sixteenth birthday. He lives somewhere in England, his family in America. He moved to England to get some more action into his life, do something new. But ever since he started hearing the voice, nothing's been the same since, and not in a good way. On the same day of his birthday, he got a package in the mail. The address was unknown, and inside the package was a book with a title that read "DO NOT READ". There was a lock on it, so he couldn't read the book. He has it kept on his bookshelf now, in case he might ever need it. The voice started to tell Ranboo things he shouldn't be hearing, things about how this world isn't real, and they're all variants of another. He's tried to pay no mind to the voice, but day by day it gets louder, and more vivid with it's wording. To put it simply, this story is about two soulmates, a strange companion and narrator, and the adventure of a lifetime. . . . You're still curious, aren't you? Very well, I'll describe this story out in a bit more detail to you. Karl is running away. Why? Well, he has a soulmate, and he's not too happy about it. He's seen the things love can do, and he isn't keen on having it for himself. His necklace had been dormant for 2 years and he'd thought that maybe his soulmate lived across the continent and he'd never have to worry about seeing them, but now the lightning was glowing, signalling that they were probably also in the Capital. It's a risk leaving the only thing he's known his entire life, the safety of the castle, but he has to get away from his soulmate. So, now he's walking away from the Capital, about to go on a wild adventure. Sapnap, on the other hand, has been looking forward to meeting his soulmate for his entire life. When he wakes up the day after his 18th birthday to a gradually dimming necklace, he takes executive action and decides to follow his soulmate. The guy isn't much of a survivalist, but luckily he has a friend in the shape of an almost-god to help him along the way. Is that enough detail for you?
