Upon moving to a school in a seemingly remote city, Anne or so she is called becomes friends, or is practically forced to be friends with, the school's popular "group" but something about the way they act causes her to be wary about them. At the same time, she seems to have developed a slight attraction to a particular person in the group.

When she finally hopes for a not-so-terrible ending, her past comes knocking on her door.

Literally.

At this point, all she can do is curse at herself for even hoping in the first place:

"Hope, that fucking bitch!"

"Are you certain?" I hear a voice question in a doubtful manner.

I turned towards them with a smile that clearly showed it was anything but a piece of good news that was going to come out of my mouth and replied:

"Yes, we are thoroughly fucked"
