nora shepherd always hated running with a passion, but she seemed to be doing a lot of it in her adult life. once before, from a steady and concrete life in new york to the rabid trauma tents of foreign refugee camps. and now, a hopefully final time, into the arms of an estranged brother with her daughter in arms and bruises on her back. she never intended to make a home in a rainy city, or a life with a man she once loathed. but that was the thing that nora had come to realize about plans; they never went as expected.
