Tesla Celestina Vitale is an Italian girl born into Wall Sina, having loose connections with her estranged cousin, Historia Reiss. Since she was not born into the royal family of Fritz, like Historia, her parents became hostile with her and forced her to become a 'Queen,' under the twisted belief that she wouldn't amount to anything otherwise.

In comes Alessio Nicia Conte, a childhood friend of Levi Ackerman and the son of a carpenter and shop owner. At the age of just 10 years old he was kidnapped and forced to become a slave to the Vitale family. He would then become the guardian of Tesla. In order to become strong enough to protect her, the Vitale family would abuse Alessio and implant into his mind that he was worthless and his life amount to nothing - only to serve Tesla and make her Queen.
