Life was perfect for Jerod Corona. He had a beautiful wife, a newborn child, a good home, and worked a job he loved. However, life takes a turn for the worst when he arrives home one day to find his wife murdered. Now, he is charged with the death of his wife and the kidnapping of his daughter and sent away to jail for the rest of his life. However, the Kraken has other plans for him. Stuck on an island, he dreams and fights every day to return to his daughter and won't stop for anything. 

Being the young daughter of Dragon Claw's guild master isn't easy. Cassandra Luna must uphold the dignity of the guild and behave her best among many other demands from her father. One day, she discovers she holds the power to unlock the most despised magic in their realm. Mortality. Now on the run for life, she has to find a way to earn her father's trust and restore her position in her town and guild.

Her saving grace, her personal angel, whatever he needs to be. And once she accepts the offer, he has much more to give to her. At least, as much as his little one will let him give while she's healing from the past she runs from. But for all its worth, what does a volcano God have to do with it? __ Completed, 122K words.
