"Masque" is a Miraculous fan fiction that explores the lives of Lady Marinette Dupain-Cheng and Adrien Agreste, Duke of Paris as they become of age to be married. Lady Marinette's heart has always belonged to the Duke, but with so many fighting for his hand, she lets her insecurities get the best of her. They attend an anonymous masquerade ball where the Duke falls for a mysterious red and black spotted lady. But her heart already belongs to his alter-ego. They stay in touch with secret letters but the Duke's time to find a wife is running short and his lady still doesn't love him back.

Quick disclaimer! While this is a story based on the Miraculous TV show, some details are changed due to the nature of this story and the direction I would like to take it in. In this story superhero's don't exist. BUT that doesn't mean Ladybug and Chat Noir don't exist in this universe. Tikki and Plagg have also adapted to human roles and are a large part of this tale. Lastly, this story takes place in the late 1800s, so the language and mannerisms differ from those in the show. This will not take away from Marinette, Adrien, or anyone's usual behavior, just show it in different circumstances.

So this is a miraculous ladybug themed story. It will have some 🔞 stuff, read at ur own risk. I will try to finish it, (started it in 2021 and forgot it exists) but I don't really have any sparks of creativity in me rn. I feel like I rushed everything, but don't worry, my next work will be up to date, contain more characters and not only focus on the two of them. (ya know) Also this started bad so it's not gonna include too much stuff from the latest seasons. Description: It's a story about how Adrien is haunted by a nightmare in which he's akumatized, a lot of character development focused on Adrien, but also on Marinette. Chat Noir/Adrien developing a bond with Marinette. It will include parts with Alya, Nino, and the others. Of course, at some point there will be a reveal, angsty moments, smut (heh) and I don't plan on stopping the fic at the superheroes reveal or Hawkmoths. I would love to include maybe 4 more parts after, each being from a season (like a part about spring, summer, etc) and then I might end it on a post reveal and everything in the winter, but it will have an open ending and I'll probably make another fanfic to continue the story, but that one will include absolutely everything until season 6. a lot of remarks to the past and everything.
