Maya was your average teenager, but instead of being a human, she was a young and curious phoenix. Maya is usually out in the fantasy-modern world of Usia kicking ass for her bosses, the Society of Fire. However, she was always in her older twin brother's, Flame, shadow, for he was the fourth Harbinger of life. Unable to make a place for herself, Maya is soon given a suicidal mission to uncover the identity of the seventh and strongest Harbinger of the end.
Lynx, a socially-withdrawn teenager, was an outlaw in Usia, never accepted anywhere for his being a spawn of a Frost dragon and a vampire. Halfbloods were barely tolerated by purebreeds, so Lynx kept his head down for the sake of others not finding out his secret, a secret that could either destroy Usia, or save it from utter destruction.
