Living in a world full of supernatural occurrences is a wonder to behold. Having supernatural abilities is considered a blessing from the gods. That is, depending on what abilities you are "blessed" with. 

	The species you are born as decides your abilities. Even so, there is only a 6% chance you are born with abilities at all.

	They're called the gifted, and throughout history there have been several subtypes of abilities that have been lost to time, being eradicated by the dominant species. 

	To identify gifted is simple, they say the eyes are the doors to the soul for a reason. The color of ones eyes tells all.   

	- Small animals as a whole adapted over time to make sound manipulation the only gift that is not determined specifically by species, being the last existing subtype. This ability includes amplifying or neutralizing sound to your liking and emitting any frequency at will. They can be made known by their piercing Black eyes.

	- The gifted Felines with vivid teal eyes, are given the power to control the flow of the air around them.

	- Dragons can be gifted with the ability to control and conjure fire, with royal purple eyes that can be seen even through the fire they burn.

	- Horses manipulate electricity and at great enough power can conjure lightning. With eyes described as white like the gateway to heaven.

	- Canines are the most complicated of the gifted. Some are gifted with what is called light powers, being able to heal wounds with a touch, and calm the mind and soul with a whisper. Conjuring things that help life and its growth with a warm and welcoming blue is their eyes. On the other hand, some canines are cursed with dark powers, controlling negative energy, shadows, and the ability to conjure illusions of their choice and cause emotional disturbances with a whisper. Finally they are able to visit the afterlife. Their scarlet red eyes are seen to symbolize how dangerous they are. Society hates these hellhounds, but are they all bad?

Even in my damp mood I feel sorry for the little animal. "You don't have a home, little guy?" I ask, squatting to see it better. Did it just shake its head!? I blink a few times and sigh. I'm probably seeing things. It's been overwhelmingly negative lately. I reach a hand for the feline and it corresponds, tucking its head under it. I pet it's wet coat and stare at it as it closes its eyes. I can't leave such a pitiful thing next to the dumpsters and cold rain to be frozen alive or ravished by stray dogs.
