Avery has nothing left to live for. The one person that was keeping her head above water is gone, and she can't keep pretending everything is ok. She can't keep going with the guilt she holds within. She has been told so many times how it wasn't her fault, but they don't know the truth, not all of it. She comes shockingly close to ending it all, but the story can't end without his 12 duties being completed. Once they're done, that's it, that's everything she has left to do in this world.
