To Sorin, making sacrifices for his people given. Since the death of his parents, his rush to inherit the thrown, and him being a hybrid.
Matters of state always comes first, finding his mate is pushed to the back of his mind.

Sure he dreamed about it when he was a pup, but now he's older and would rather play the game. So you can imagine his surprise when he finds himself sacrificing his heart to save his mate, who doesn't even seem to want him.

Abandoned when she was born, without any knowledge of who she really is, Euphoria isolates herself with the only people who understand her, animals. Her whole life she chose to listen to her mind over her heart.
