The 74th Hunger Games are here; Katniss's Everdeen's name is called. She will compete in a test of courage, bravery, and will to survive.
But this is not her story.
Told through the eyes of 16-year-old Annette Snow, it shows the love and deception inside the Capitol City.
When Ana draws District 12 in the annual Sponsoring Selection, she knows two things - her chances of winning is slim, and someone close to her is setting her up to fail. As the Sponsor for District 12, Katniss Everdeen and Peeta Melark's lives are in her hands.
Now, to remain the heir for the Presidency, Ana must keep the duo from the coal district alive, guide them through the Games as best she can, and try to help the underdogs beat the odds.
Ana's life is growing more complicated by the moment, with her overbearing grandfather, President Snow, and new, unwelcome feelings for her best friend. Danger is nipping at her heels as things begin to happen inside the Capitol. Sponsors of unfavorable districts are dying, accidents are occurring too frequently, and it looks as though Ana's life is endangered when she steps forward and attempts to aid the District 12 nominees.
Can Ana protect Katniss and Peeta in the upcoming Games, and be able to keep her life?
