This is a short story that I wrote for an English class at the start of the year. It is heavily inspired by the Wolfenstein universe, as well as a certain mission from Black Ops 1. The story takes place in the Verkoyansk Mountain Range in russia, in the 1960's, deep in a Nazi mining camp, named Camp Overlook.
The first part of the story is in 3rd person, but the ending is in 1st person, because we had to use 2 or more points of views when writing the stories.

The Portal To The Guardian (Countryhumans Y/N Story)
This is my first story and I'm really excited. I've had this idea for SO long. This is a countryhumans story featuring Y/N. Although for the majority of the story you won't know who Y/N is, in the end it will be really cool, I hope. Just so you know, Y/N will be a girl, so sorry to those who wanted Y/N to be any other gender. It was a portal. Kind of like those swirly, spiral ones. And it was blood red. Darker at the tips, and whiter at the center. It was beautiful, and definitely not of this world. Boots thudded loudly as USSR ran closer. The Axis look at each other again, this time they nodded in agreement. They stepped into the clearing, feeling a sudden breeze brush against their cheeks. As the trio stepped into the clearing, USSR had finally found them and watched as they stepped through the portal, then without thinking twice, stepped in after them. WARNING: This book features the Axis (Third Reich/Nazi Germany, Fascist Italy, Japanese Empire), The USSR, and possibly other countries that can be upsetting for some readers. A group of friends deal with life in the trenches along the Western front. Young German soldiers sent to fight a war they were told would be over by Christmas, soon realize that they aren't going anywhere. I did as best research as I could at the time, I'm sure it is not 100% accurate. This was written several months ago based on a story I wrote in middle school. I decided to I wanted to post this somewhere just in case someone else found it, maybe I can get some feedback.
