Izuku was the student of his master Toshinori Yagi, the man who saw something great in him, the one to save him from his fate of being quirkless. Izuku trained for many years to prove to his master that he was fit to wield his quirk, One For All...he had proved himself many times to his master, and the people who knew about the quirk, through years of hard work to prove to them all came crashing down. All Might: I'm...sorry Young Midoriya...I gave my quirk to someone else... All he could do was stare at the young man blankly looking at him with sweat coming off of his body and bleeding hands from the rigorous training he put himself through...all for him to be cast aside... Izuku: but...I did the training you asked of me...Toshi...I...I did, all of this for you...and to prove to you that I am worthy...Toshi...please...what do you mean you gave it away already... All Might could only look down to the ground gripping his fists and barely even look his student in the eyes at all, the blank look Izuku had scared him and wished he wouldn't do anything rash after the news.

No one gave him that time of the day to try and cheer him up, instead they put him down. He was bullied by his childhood friend for being quirkless, and told he'd amount to nothing, not even his mother had faith in him. It made him feel like it was just him against the world, in order to attain his dreams... except, it wasn't just him. Did you think All Might was the first to believe in him?
