Ariel survived the first ever Paylor Games with her new friend Cato. Bin was secretly taken back to District Twelve, which is protected by District Thirteen and it's nuclear weapons. When the Capitol comes to take Ariel and Cato to their wedding, and the Rebel Troops shoot down their hovercraft declaring war against President Snow's grand kids who have taken of Panem, a third Rebellion starts.
The Rebels must tell all of Panem about their unknown presidents and their plans of avenging their grandfather, using Ariel as the new Mockingjay. You would think that Ariel has enough on her plate already, with the Rebellion, and her Mockingjay duties, but she must also deal with Cato and Bin, who have decided that the arrangement they decided isn't working.
