Luke Hemmings is on the football team and is very popular among his fellow students. He is smart, but he has his flaws. He doesn't associate often with people who he finds to be 'lower' than him; this being based on social status. Ashton Irwin loves attention. He likes to start drama, and this makes him less liked and at the bottom of the high school food chain. Soon enough, when senior years starts and people start drifting from him he begins to self-harm to pull them back in. He would show them his cuts, but people weren't having it. They knew his game. Also Ashton had a suicidal account on tumblr. He didn't tell a single soul not even to his best friend. Luke was outgoing and very curious.One day he found Ashton's account.He was just searching what 'anorexia' meant then he saw Ashton on the hashtag. He look at his page and felt sick. Ashton was so skinny and had cuts almost all over his body. He wanted to help him but didn't know how. He couldn't tell no body because he doesn't have any real friends. Luke got an idea. The small metal contraption on the floor wasn’t usually so terrifying to Ashton. But right now in this moment it was the scariest thing he’d ever seen. He was scared about what number would pop up on the tiny screen when Luke stepped on it. He feels the same fear he felt when he saw Luke on the floor in a puddle of blood and vomit sobbing. It broke his heart to know that the boy he loved was hurting himself this way. Of course Luke didn’t know about Ashton’s feelings, he was too absorbed in his own self-hatred to notice the loving glances Ashton shot his way.
