The small metal contraption on the floor wasn’t usually so terrifying to Ashton. But right now in this moment it was the scariest thing he’d ever seen. He was scared about what number would pop up on the tiny screen when Luke stepped on it. He feels the same fear he felt when he saw Luke on the floor in a puddle of blood and vomit sobbing.
