Like Matilda, he too struggles with his power, not in finding it, but rather in controlling it. Will he get it right when it matters? Oliver Hart is a charismatic veterinarian who discovers he can suddenly hear the animals thoughts. It would've been a powerful career booster if he hadn't been kidnapped and taken to the community. There, he uses his charisma to make a group of friends he'll never forget. The four must fight tooth and nail to make it out of dangerous situations and discover their own feelings along the way.

This Can't Be Real (A Superhero Story), de syddieb_cant_read

Book 1 of 3 in the Barron Series This book was re-edited roughly 4 times, each time in an effort to make the book less 'cringe'. The story is based on a game we used to play in my elementary school we named 'The Power of Cheese' between me and over 12 kids that we played every day at recess for (at least) 3 consecutive years. It was a roleplaying game where everyone had superpowers and controllable dimensions. In this new story, the characters are renamed (confidentiality) but the powers are the exact same. The plot was changed, but I kept it as close to the original without it sounding like it came from the minds of a gaggle of 10-year-olds. Characters were cut, the dialogue was refurbished, the jokes are more modern but still not as funny, and will probably be rewritten again. Wolf is one of the best coyotes in the GSF, but also one of the most hated. He has no care of the damage he causes to people or buildings when pursuing a bounty, leaving the GSF having to compensate those affected by his actions. When the daughter of a senator in The Kingdom becomes the most wanted terrorist in the solar system, the GSF is hired to find her before anyone else does. Willing to look past Wolf's reckless history, the director of the GSF contracts him and other coyotes to find the senator's daughter and take her to the GSF at whatever cost. But with enemies after the same woman, Wolf is forced to trust and rely on his new partners in hopes of getting the biggest payday of his life.
