Kokichi remembers what happened pre-game, but pretends to have no idea and acts as he was supposed to, to try and stay alive even if he knows that there is only a chance(50/50%) that he will actually die. He knows what's happening, a lot of things about the building, and easily figured out who the mastermind is. But in truth he doesn't really care about any of that. He misses the past and would prefer to be there instead of in the game. Before the game he had just gotten a very loving boyfriend, got out of his terrible family situation, and had a scholarship offer from a top college with his amazing grades. A bad thing about being in-game for him is, his nightmares. He always had terrible nightmares, ever since his mom passed away when he was essentially 5. His boyfriend was the one who convinced him and their friend to audition for Danganronpa, they all managed to get in, but since he was the only one who remembered, he lost his main support and due to his role, he had to make them hate him. Which broke him, hearing that from the people he trusts most. Even if he knew it wasn't real it still hurt him. Now a new motive is introduced, the participants had to vote for someone to do it. Everyone voted for Kokichi, even himself, but once Kokichi heard the motive he was glad that he was voted. The motive was to go to the past(aka the pre-game time). 6 months before they came here, although Kokichi was very happy he hid it under the mask he almost always kept up. Yet something Kokichi wasn't told, was the fact that the participants could see what he was doing. Read as Kokichi tries to avoid going back to in-game and stay with his boyfriend, and how the other participants start to learn Kokichi's true motives and want him to come back so they could apologize for how wrong they were. Will Kokichi have to come back to the present time, or manage to avoid it and live peacefully with his boyfriend? Find out by reading!
