Your wedding day is undoubtedly the most important day of your life. And when it comes to planning the details that fill your day, being picture ready at all times and being the most glowing person in the room is probably going to be at the top of your list. After all, it is YOUR DAY! The make-up products/looks that you or your MUA would use may have probably not crossed your mind, but honestly that is what will get your bridal makeup stand out. While most brides test their products out in the last minute, we assure you that it is something to test and try out well in advance with your wedding gown irrespective of you having a large wedding or a small wedding. Here's a list of wedding makeup dos and don'ts to help you get ready to say "I do." Face-make up Dos • Research about golden-toned concealers and bases in your makeup. • Use bronzing powder to warm your skin tone. • Apply a foundation primer gel to allow your make-up to stay long. • Use loose powder to coat your makeup to prevent excess shine. Don'ts • Never wax or do a new facial just a day before the wedding. We recommend every bride-to-be at least five day off before wedding day. • Exclude any talc based powder foundation in your bridal makeup routine as it oxidises quickly, hence darkening your face. • Don't plan your makeup look last minute. Always pre-plan everything at least four weeks before your wedding. • Over-correcting your under-eye circles. Eye-make up Dos • Always use brow gel and powder one shade darker than your natural hair to make your brows look natural. And use brow pencil of neutral shade to fill up your brows. • Curl your lashes with a curler and then apply two coats of mascara to get lush lashes. Don'ts: • Never apply false lashes for the first time on your wedding day. Experiment with it before your wedding day. • Avoid dark pencils and dark shadows to define your brows. • Avoid trendy experiments with your eye makeup. Always stick to the classicsAll Rights Reserved
