This is a romance, set in a Scotland during the 1800s.
Emily works as one of the maids at her Aunt's mansion. Her parents died in an accident when she was 14. The horses to their carriage were spooked and the carriage got detached and thrown down a hill. After this tragedy, she went to live with her mother's relatives, where they took advantage of her by making her their scullery maid, instead of treating her like a daughter.
One day, one of her Uncle's work colleagues joins the picture. He is perfect, but their relationship isn't seen as socially acceptable by her family. How will they overcome this problem?

This is their version of the Japanese folklore The Crane Wife and I was inspired to write out a story and put in my own twist to it. If you give my book a chance I highly recommend listening to the song and reading the lyrics first because there are major lines in the story that I borrowed from the song lyrics because they were sweet and powerful lines.
