Sixteen year old Mavis Sorenson lives in Bridgeport Chicago, living what seems to her like a normal life. This all changes when she is dragged to a party by her best friend Alice. There, she meets Peter and James McGill under some very strange circumstances and they change her life forever, unleashing the magic and mystery hidden inside her since birth. As Mavis struggles to connect with her new abilities and features, a diabolical force is working to uproot the new home Mavis has found, and they will stop at nothing to do it. As Mavis grows in strength and power, she will have to face the responsibilities that come with it, and the hardships.
