Tyler Price was sure nothing would happen to her, she had that good life. Parents who cared for her, a brother who teased her, and friends who made her laugh. Bad stuff only happened to other people and other families. Tyler didn't know she was really those other people. Tyler and her brother get in a car accident that leaves her brother comatose for nearly two years. Her brother never wakes up because he is pronounced brain dead and her parents decide to pull the plug. Tyler tries to pull through by saying it couldn't get worse but she is wrong once again.
In Madison, Wisconsin, there is a killer prowling the streets, and when a few people she actually knows fall victim to their psychopathic urges, she decides to take advantage of her friends whose parents are working on the case and find out for herself who the killer is. Will Tyler be successful in finding this blood-thirsty murderer, or will she become another victim before she discovers the horrible truth?

Shocked, the police rush over to gather the evidence and clues, but before they even assemble their evidence, the police are led to another death. One by one, deaths occur around town, faster than the police can count. There's not much in common with all of the murders, only the fact that all of the victims come from one class. In the course on one year, the class of 18 shrinks drastically. PART 2 As summer vacation begins, the remains of the class split. Five students tell their stories of meeting new people, near death experiences, and funny incidences. PART 3 More than what meets the eye happened in the course of the summer. The class comes back to a new year, utterly shocked to find that 4 new students have joined their class. Everything starts out alright, but people are getting frantic. The government sent in spies to watch the class for suspicious behavior, two of them students themselves. Two other students are hired to try to figure things out on their own. What nobody realizes however, is what's important.
