Tyler Price was sure nothing would happen to her, she had that good life. Parents who cared for her, a brother who teased her, and friends who made her laugh. Bad stuff only happened to other people and other families. Tyler didn't know she was really those other people. Tyler and her brother get in a car accident that leaves her brother comatose for nearly two years. Her brother never wakes up because he is pronounced brain dead and her parents decide to pull the plug. Tyler tries to pull through by saying it couldn't get worse but she is wrong once again.
In Madison, Wisconsin, there is a killer prowling the streets, and when a few people she actually knows fall victim to their psychopathic urges, she decides to take advantage of her friends whose parents are working on the case and find out for herself who the killer is.
