The Druids left their home for the Surfaceworld. With them they brought four magical treasures, the most powerful being the Stone of Fal. The gods promised that as long as the stone was kept safe and whole, no prophecy could ever be divined for or against them.

The Fomorians, a race of chaos monsters banished from the Otherworld, waited. With the Stone of Fal, they could create a prophecy that would allow them to reenter the Otherworld. Perhaps they could even challenge the gods. Led by Lord Balor of the Red Eye, they attacked the Druids on the plains of Mag Tuired. During the battle, King Nuada, king of the Druids, failed to protect the Stone of Fal by allowing Balor's red eye to burn it. It was then the prophecy was cast. King Nuada and Lord Balor, along with a few key others, were destined to return to resume the battle of Mag Tuired until King Nuada and the Druids successfully protected the Stone.

The soul of King Nuada returns in the year 2015, along with the threat of the Fomorians. As the prophecy foretold, Nuada returned when his vessel, a boy named Alan Carlisle, turned 15. Immediately, strange things start happening. It begins with someone breaking into his room and engraving 15 on the window stool. That same night, his small town of New Island, Metropolis makes international news due to video footage of a mysterious purple fog creeping in from the depths of the Atlantic Ocean. Then, his mother disappears without word.

It's pure coincidence that a Fomorian by the name of Eric shows up to Alan's hometown, drowning its citizens in order to collect their souls for his underwater prison. Along with the help from his friends, Alan must retrieve the Sword of Light from Eaden in order to defeat Eric. With the Sword of Light in hand, Alan claims his right he didn't even know he had: to reign as king of the Druids. The problem is, he's a teenager who doesn't know how to even begin to tap into his druidry. Meanwhile, Lord Balor is watching.

Races and creatures have become extinct, or very close to it, but, no war had been as terrible as the Dark Wars. Over a thousand years ago the Cultists of Volkin tried to bring forth their underworld god into the living realm. They almost succeeded. The cult had been defeated by the allied forces of the Four Kingdoms, and by the Covenant of the Magi. Tiseria prospered and there was general peace in the wake of the Dark Wars. Peace which had gone, relatively, unbroken, until now. The armies of darkness are rising once more. After more than a millennia the Cult of Volkin has returned, returned to finish what they had started. The cult is more devastating than ever, equipped with powers bestowed upon them by Volkin himself. They intend to wreck havoc, spread corruption, fear and distraught, through the kingdoms, and raise their Dark God once again. In the beginning, there was nothing. Just a vast void of nothing. All consuming darkness. And then there was cold. Ice. The ice spread from the core of the earth to everything until the world was formed. And then there was heat. For a while there was war between heat and ice. They fought for dominion over the world. Ice was the first and believed it was to be in charge. Heat supported more life and believed it should be allowed to rule. Eventually, when both almost destroyed the world Ice had created, they decided to merge and rule together, to release both their powers over the world and create life. They did that and then they went to sleep, dormant in the village of Azarath, the village where the first witches were born. The village where it all began. ******************** "What am I? I'm not human as we all thought, that's for sure. I'm not a witch, I can't cast a spell to save my life! I'm not a vampire as the absence of the speed and fangs indicate. I'm not a werewolf as my remaining on two legs every full moon proves so what am I?" Kat shouted to the winds as they roared around her in the clearing she stood in. "Aren't you gonna answer me?!" she asked again, tears rolling out of her eyes as she began to rise above the ground, the power inside her threatening to overwhelm her. "You are nothing and you are everything" the reply finally came, silent but still able to be heard above the fierce winds. And then all of a sudden there was silence. There was nothing. ******************* This is book 1 of The Destined Five series. The other books can be found on my profile.

*HIGHEST RANKING: #1 in Jack Frost and #3 in snowflakes** "Who are you, and why the heck are you in my house?!" You ask the boy, pointing your hairbrush at him. Like a hairbrush will do anything, right? The boy didn't seem to be armed with any weapons, but he did carry a wooden staff that hooked at the end. You eyed him carefully. But the boy was taken aback. "You can see me?!" He asked, almost in disbelief. You raised an eyebrow, "..Yes?.. You're not exactly hiding very well if this is hide n' seek," you stated back at him. "She can see me.." he said to himself, almost in shock, and then his face broke into an endless smile, "She can see me!" The boy did a backflip, which you admitted was impressive because you can't even do a cartwheel, and he landed back on his bare feet. "Sorry to interrupt this.. reunion you're having with yourself but, am I not supposed to see you, or?..." You trail off, but he understood you perfectly, almost as if he's gotten this question before before. You still had your guard up. "Okay, so I'm not exactly.. Human.. or alive.. Well I'm here but I'm not alive because I'm a Winter spirit. I make winter!" He stated. You both stared at each other for a minute or two in complete silence. Then you blinked. Twice even. "Uh.. What? A winter spirit?" He nodded, "Oh, like Jack Frost?" He smirked, and almost started laughing as he crossed his arms, "Snowflake, I am Jack Frost," ~*~ Y/n has had a troubled past, starting with her family passing away and having no friends, she lives alone in her house as a 16 year old girl. But when Pitch Black is back, she and the Guardians have to find a way to defeat him (again). However, when she bonds with a certain winter spirit, things can take a turn to impacting both her life and her heart. Sorry I suck at summaries!
