the year is 4032 and they biuld these humanoid creatures with a beating heart and a brain. the experiments that lead to thier creation has left alot of people dumbfounded and horrified. "theyre almost human, they breethe and see and feel just like us." said serenity to her friend on the phone as she walked into a neon lit cafe. she chose to sit in the back because then she could ignore all the people sitting around her. she had alot of social anxiety and hated it when people stared, she often found herself counting the people walk in all day and into the night as the sheltered themselves from the rain. she felt the hairs on the back of her neck stand up when a man passed by looking for a seat. the cafe was abnormally packed today so the only seat left was across from her. she had already hung up the phone hours ago and was just listening to music. he asked in a deep yet calming voice to sit in the seat across from her and she agreed. he didnt drink and coffee he just stared it her as if he was trying to find something out. she was extremely uncomfortable and after a while of internally screaming she decided to speak to him " um sir could you stop staring at me?" he responded with a smile and then he spoke " i was just looking at that scar on your neck"...

Meeting Maia
I blinked. My eyes began focusing on shapes. I could hear murmuring voices. I could smell medication. I could taste blood. I could feel scratchy blankets lying over my frail body. Three humans, talking under their breaths. A blue cast on my leg. Another on my arm. Stitches in my other 'leg'. More stitches on my face neck and chest. A huge stapled gash across my entire stomach, starting from my shoulder and going in a diagonal line straight across my body and ending at my hip bone. It had just avoided my heart. Tubes were threaded through my arms and other areas of my stomach. I was suddenly very aware of the amount of pain I was in. I cried out in pain and all three people turned to me. The middle one lurched forwards and took a needle from the side. The other two fussed around me, rethreading the tubes and checking that they were all fully functional. A sharp, aching pain pierced my neck and I caught the middle guy with a needle in my neck. My vision slowly began blurring again.Complete

"If we lived in the forest we wouldn't have gummy bears any more." I comment to lighten the mood. She doesn't find it funny. "I'm serious Remi! What if we did run away?" "Jen, we can't just run away. I know your parents are strict but I truly think they just want what's best for you." She says nothing. For a moment I fear she's mad at me but then she puts her head on my shoulder and I know we're okay.Complete

August 14, 3044. It was a future where humans didn't have to advance because technology did all the work for them. A future where children couldn't visit their parents after a certain age and you barely know the route through your own house because your teleporting from the bedroom to the kitchen. A world where you're practically mind controlled. It wasn't always like this. Humans used to have diversity and freedom to think for themselves. But on August 14th, 3044 a new species called the Anoch landed on our planet. The humans immediately categorized them as a threat and split the world into two halves by a stone wall. Humans on one side, Anoch on the other. Everyone seems to have adjusted to this change and go on with life as if everything was normal. But not me. I was only six when it happened. It's now the year 3054 and I still find it all strange. The new life the humans have been forced to live. The way the Anoch are treated as if they're some sort of experiment.
