When Castiel falls from Heaven, he doesn't expect to wind up anywhere but when he lands on the a supernatural stronghold's roof, he strikes up a friendship with Sam Winchester, the bunker's sole resident. Set on his fist solo case, Castiel travels to Wichita where the body of a young boy has mysteriously hemorrhaged and all leads keep connecting back to Dean Winchester, a name Sam seems all to keen to avoid. Stuck in the midst of a case that is not at all what it seems and the shadows of a forgotten family, Castiel must determine what is going on before more people perish and more importantly, learn how to be human.
