Lifeline (Reuben Gray short story)

Reuben Gray and Gianna Hendrix have been Bestfriend's for a long time, Gianna or Gia as Reuben calls her has been living with Reuben's family ever since her parents has died. Gia was a very shy and quiet girl, 16 years old, she fell for Reuben but he had a girlfriend and Gia was threatened by his girlfriend to stay away from Reuben and she distances herself from him. When Reuben gets a chance to audition, so does Gianna but Reuben doesn't know. Reuben had broken up with his girlfriend after she cheated on him. And he realized his feelings from Gianna so he wrote a song. And Gianna performs right after Reuben.
