"You cannot outrun me. This you must know." a confident deep voice spoke into my ear. I heard an intake of air, "You smell like sunshine. My own personal sun."

Elaine's senior year is coming up and after a rough summer of cheating boyfriend's she is hoping the year will breeze by, but you know the saying life doesn't always go as planned. It all started with the strange dreams. In these dreams there is always one shadow that reaches out of the dark for her in a comforting way. Before she even acknowledges the dream she wakes up, but now while she is awake she can also see more shadows looming around her. Their presence was unnerving and draining the light around her. On top of all that she runs into (quit literally) the new guy Pogue Ainsley. He's tall, dark, and handsome. Everything a teen girl would want and everything a parent wouldn't approve of. As far as Elaine can tell he mostly keeps to himself and occasionally drops his overconfident remarks. Everywhere Elaine goes he isn't far behind. She wants to find out more about him but he is reluctant to provide any info minus his name and basically anything to boost his ego. Elaine wishes he would disappear back to wherever it is he came but the shadows don't seem to come around when he is near her. Maybe she is just crazy or maybe Pogue is the root of all her problems. Whether she needs him or should stay away from him is uncertain. Senior year sure is off to a great start.
Elliot Jensen and Elliot Fintry have a lot in common. They share the same name, the same house, the same school, oh and they hate each other but, as they will quickly learn, there is a fine line between love and hate.
