"Mason, you don't have much time left. There has to be at least someone that could possibly be her by the time your birthday comes around. You have to be on the lookout. You can't just sit around anymore." His father told him. "You're a prince, Mason. You need to start acting like this is serious. You can't fool around anymore. You have to be married in a year. Start looking out a little more for a bride."
"Of course, Father. I'll be looking out. I have been. I just can't seem to find anyone here in the kingdom." He said. His father just shook his head.
"Mason, please just try harder. I don't want you to have an arragened marriage. I want you to have a real marriage, but if you can't find someone soon it'll have to be done." His father said. "I have to be at a meeting. I want you out in the kingdom. You need to look for a bride."
"I know, Father. I'll try, Okay?" He said. His father smiled at him. '
"Good." His father said. "I'm sorry that this is how this is done, but I can't help it. Things have to be done like this or the kingdom could fall. I don't want that to happen."
"I understand. I'm not upset. I'll look today, Father, I promse."

Michelle was walking along a small pathway leading out of the kingdom. She was tired of the way she was treated. She was tired of being treated like trash all because she was the first-born. That shouldn't have mattered. Her parents, her father, should still have treated her like they had her brother. They still should have loved her. She knew she wasn't the perfect little girl they wanted, or even the perfect first-born they wanted, but she was still their child, still their daughter. They still should have wanted her. Instead, they believed she was worthless.
