when a young girl, Evie  is pushed in front of a train she wakes up to find herself  in the void.

The void was created at the beginning of time. It was meant as a passage between the land of humans and supernatural creatures, but it never worked like that. With every great accomplishment there is a downfall. The void created controversy between all the creatures, some wanted to rule the land of the living, some wanted to be with their families on the other side and some didn't want to be guardian angels looking down at the humans as they destroyed everything that was given to them.  
Evie finds herself trapped in a mirror world with no way out. she must learn to conjure her magic and discover her true origin in order to save herself and the void.All Rights Reserved

I was never meant to leave that room. I had spent my whole life in there, imagining what it was like on the outside. I looked forward to the day when I would finally be allowed to leave. But that day was never supposed to come. Until James decided to keep his promise. He had always been there, on the other side of the glass. Waiting. The experiment wasn't over. He was still waiting for me to change. But I didn't change. Not until that night. It was dark, and there was rain. The sound of the car engine was loud, but the crash was louder. In the crash, I became something different. I changed. But not for James. This new part of me emerged for one reason; to save her. Of course it does, after all, the highest concentration of Qi is found in forests where ancient redwoods grow. You might be wondering, what is Qi? In Japan it is called "ki," and in India, "prana"." The ancient Egyptians referred to it as "ka," and the ancient Greeks as "pneuma." In Africa, it's known as "ashe" and in Hawaii as "mana." Qi, Prana, Ki, call it what you will, this energy is the life force itself.
