China, 2023. There is no room for fear or panic among the last of the mutants as the Sentinel armies advance. In a brave last stand, Kitty Pryde, Bobby Drake, Bishop, Warpath, Blink, Sunspot and Colossus meet with Charles Xavier, Erik Lehnsherr, Ororo Munroe and Wolverine. They come up with a plan: brave and foolish at the same time.
