12 powerful humans influence the world of Astros and its lands. The dominant families have amassed fortunes and strong armies, sometimes at the cost of others. Resentment between signs run rampant as constant clashing has consumed the Southland, having entire forces and sometimes strong beings aiding them into battle.
The ambition of some is stamped out by treason. Others fall to the grip of seduction, and love is constantly at war with worry. Families hold their own hostage, past memories overshadowing current ones.
In the end only one holds the Crown of the Zodiac, reigning legitimately as protector of the land. That same Crown will make ally turn on ally and brother on brother as the thirst of power consumes them.
The board is set, and it's play or die. Some will be the players, others the pawns. All waiting for the final checkmate
