Ava only ever kept two big secrets from her parents.
One, was that she played soccer, and the second was.. well... she was an online singing sensation.
No one knew about the second one actually. No one but her guy best friend.

Ever since she was young, she'd been facing the societal expectations and pressures of society. What happens when she sets out to challenge this. will she succeed, or will she be yet another victim?
------
'Of course Dad'll agree with mom. Both of them don't like me playing soccer. Apparently, it's too rowdy for a girl like me to play soccer and quote " A pretty girl like you should focus on being polite and respectful."
Yeah right, as if that's going to stop me.'

------
Sing anonymously? I ask. 'Yup.' He replies.

Currently I am only left with writing the epilogue which will be up in a while.
Thank you for bearing with my sleep deprived self. Hope you enjoy reading<3

: I wrote this a long time ago, I realize it's cringey and cliché so read at your own risk :

Not every blonde is stupid. In the South if you're a beautiful, blonde, blue-eyed girl high expectations are made. Either you're not extremely smart, so you find yourself a suitable husband to take care of you. Or you are smart and you just pretend to be dumb so you find yourself a suitable husband to take care of you. All her life Avery Skinner has been told what to do and how to do it- by everyone. By her mother, the girls she calls friends, the guys in school, teachers, family, even Mark the mailman. Needless to say, she's sick of it. Its time Avery took control of her life or at least get a firm grip on the sucker. She's loved football ever since she was a little girl. Yet she could never play because ladies aren't supposed to do such barbaric things. Especially in the South- unless its a rodeo and you're wearing those ridiculously tight outfits that show you're navel or showing you can hold your liquor. Avery has longed to be on the field, throwing the ball instead of cheering on the team her dad coaches that can't seem to win. Then her best friend Austin forces Avery to and for sometime everyone is fooled. But the truth can only be hidden for so long. The moment the townsfolk of Stonehenge, Alabama learned it was a girl under that helmet, was the moment true colors showed. It hasn't been easy and it won't get any better but Avery is here to play. * Avery is going to face REAL life problems, and not nice people. She's going to deal with sexual harassment, mean words, rude people, pregnancy, injuries, steroids, etc.. In this story I want to exemplify how sexist and cruel humans can be. There will be hard moments, but I want to put it out there because it IS a serious problem. Harsh language and such will be present. You have been warned, don't read it then complain. The Light House Girl. by Growling_moon
65 parts Complete Mature
17-year-old Abigail Wells, known as Abbie, is shipped off to live with her estranged mother. The same woman whom Abbie has not seen since she was about three years old. Abbie's dad, Keith, is not a good guy and hates her passionately. Her home life was not good growing up yet he was the only parent she has ever known. Her only constant. Adeline Cobwell, Abbie's mother, lives in a small town, Reef's Paradise located in Florida. As the name indicates, the town is sort of a paradise for people residing there. Hidden alcove of a town, separated from busy cities surrounding it. The local saying, 'once you are here, you never want to leave,' is something all townsfolk here adhere to. Just like any other small town, Reef's Paradise has its own stories and secrets. Most of such stories are known to all the residents but unknown to the newcomer, Abbie. One such intriguing story is about the Light House, located at the far end of the town on a deserted beach. There is something about the stories, and the Light House itself that attracts Abbie even before she finds out a secret, hiding in it. This is a story about Abbie's journey to self-discovery, to learn what love and care truly mean. Being a teenager is not easy nor is peeling off layers of masks, especially when you have them on for so long. When anger is the only emotion Abbie's known to express for so long things are bound to explode. This is my first story here. Comments and feedback are appreciated. Disclaimer: The people and places mentioned here are fictional. Warning: Use of Foul Language.

Book 1 of the "Used to Be" Series Scarlett Fisher: the school's resident mean girl. Beautiful, smart (but doesn't let people know), charismatic, confident (or at least that's what everyone thinks.) The truth is, she's scared, Scared that one day people will see past her smile and charm, and see the person she really is on the inside. Scared that someone will remember who she used to be. ~•~ Now I know I seem like a bitch, and your probably thinking I'm your stereotypical mean girl, but I wasn't always like this, back when high school first started. I had a best friend who I thought I would be friends with forever. I was shy and timid, and I was foolish enough to believe what people told me. Back then everyone knew me as Arora. After the incident I decided to stop going by my first name, I had also learned that being mean, and not taking anything form anyone was the only way to get people to treat you with respect. ~•~ Arora Fisher: the girl most people didn't notice until they needed help with homework, the girl who was voted most likely to disappear and no one would notice. The girl who her believed in the good in others, who wanted to just give people a chance, no matter how many red flags. The girl who was lost to tragedy. ~•~ "We'll be broken together." He try's to smile, but he can't manage it and I nod, knowing how much pain he feels. "We'll be broken together." I whisper, after that we sit there, in an empty silence, neither of us wanting to be the first one to speak again, because it feels off, like the sound of our own voices might somehow break our hearts more.
