hanaki's disease forms from one sided love. uraruka's feelings for deku have been growing ever since they met. but when she finds out she has hanaki's disease, will she get the surgery? or will her lungs fill up for good?

Can be cured if the person reciprocates their love Or can be removed with surgery, but the persons romantic feelings will vanish permanently Can cause death if feelings remain unrequited, they refuse the surgery, or the flowers have completely overtaken the lungs and causes the person to stop breathing A petal falls from the young hero's lips as he flies through the night sky after a long day of work. A villain burns with envy and pride as he continues his reign of terror on the city he hates. What happens when these two keep running into each other? What happens when they're involvement with each other becomes to much for them? And what happens when another petal falls from the heroes lips? (Told from the perspective of mostly hawks but will also have Dabi POV as well.) Something has been different in Class 1-A lately. The nerdy cup of cheer known as Midoriya 'Deku' Izuku has been wearing a medical mask to class. No one is entirely sure why, as he won't say more than "I'm fine", or "It's just a cough", even when it clearly is more than that. At least, Kaminari Denki thinks so. Kaminari has been crushing on Midoriya for quite a while now. Recently, he's been planning to confess. Mostly to try and cheer the boy up, as he's seemed quite down recently. But, Kaminari is racked with self-doubt. He's not sure if he actually is going to end up confessing. What if they don't like him? Meanwhile, Midoriya is hiding the severity of his condition from everyone. He doesn't want them to know. He doesn't want them to worry. Most of them aren't very concerned, but a few are. He claims it's just a cough. Says it'll pass eventually. Pretends he isn't coughing up bloodied petals. Pretends he doesn't have feelings for a certain someone. After all, there was no way they liked him back, right? "Death leaves a heartache no one can heal, love leaves a memory no one can steal." - An Irish headstone Hey! CiCi, the author, is here! So, this is a Kamideku fic. There will be manga spoilers, as this takes place during the three-month time skip we saw not too long ago in the manga, after the Meta Liberation Army Arc. This is very non-canonical. If you can't tell, this has got a whole lot of angst as well as some of that good old Hanahaki disease. Also, I'm heavily messing around with how exactly Hanahaki works, cause, like, quirks, yeah? So, the PoV switches each chapter, therefore some chapters will be significantly shorter than others, and some will be a whole lot longer. For example- the first few chapters are significantly shorter than some of the later ones. Hanahaki disease: Hanahaki develops when somebody has one-sided love. It is very VERY rare. The person's lungs fill up with flowers, the favorite color of their love. Eventually the flowers fill their lungs and they die. It can be healed if the person's love returns their feelings. But if the person gets rejected, they will die faster. Or they can have an operation, but they lose all memory of their love. (im bad at describing ok😭) What happens when izuku is put between life and death for his love?
