What if there had been someone else there that had kept him company all those years in his coma? Someone else he could turn to?

Years ago, Ivy Reynolds made a promise to Bonnie Hale-- the first adult woman to ever believe her about her abilities and subsequently introduce her to the world of the supernatural. What Ivy didn't realize at the time was that Bonnie had died in a fire along with the rest of the Hales and she was speaking with a ghost.

Now, the year is 2011. The month is January. And werewolves are back in Beacon Hills. When Ivy's cousin's best friend is bitten and Derek Hale shows up, it's up to Ivy to uphold her end of the promise she made so long ago while hiding the fact she knows the identity of the Alpha.
