By the end of the summer of 1976, Sirius Black knows exactly three things to be true.
1) His family is mental- genuinely and certifiably insane, though this is news to no one
2) Without James, Remus, and Peter, he would've thrown himself into the Thames before he'd even turned twelve rather than suffer as a Black any longer
3) He is very much not straight, and doesn't mind it either
Once he sees Remus for the first time at the beginning of his sixth year, however, Sirius adds another truth to this list:
4) Remus Lupin is bloody attractive and Sirius has no clue how to cope with it

Sirius Black has been disowned, Remus Lupin is struggling with the reality of being a werewolf. Neither of them knows what their futures hold. When Remus doesn't show up at Hogwarts, Sirius is faced with the challenge of moving past old quarrels and helping his friend. Is he worthy of Remus? Is he worthy of his friends? Warnings: Some homophobia, implied childhood abuse, physical fighting, coming out Exciting update! Part 2 is now being posted under the title "And Yet, The Sun Still Rose - A Collection of Wolfstar Stories." I also have a Regulus fanfic that is complete and available to read if you are interested! Part 2: Sirius and Remus are in love, but the world is shifting, and the Marauders are growing older. Soon, they will have to leave Hogwarts and find their own way through the world among the growing turmoil in the wizarding community. These are stories of love, friendship, family, and sometimes pain that shape the Marauders during their final years at Hogwarts and beyond. Most of what you are about to read was written around three years ago during a difficult period in my life. I won't go into the details of such things here, but I can say that writing about the Marauders, often daily at the time, was an escape for me and what was initially a plan for a cohesive second installment of my "Mirror Moon" story quickly changed into something that resembled a collection of moments. I figured I'd never be able to share it because the story doesn't run smoothly, but when I opened the document today and saw that I'd written over 170,000 words, I knew that I needed to comb through it and find the individual stories within. All I hope is that these stories can bring you joy, entertainment or even just a short escape as they did for me all those years ago.

Calliope Thorne was considered an honorary member of the Marauders throughout her seven years at Hogwarts. She shared a close bond with the group, but it was Remus Lupin, James Potter, and Sirius Black who particularly caught her attention. With her heart pulled in multiple directions, who could she choose? Would she have to? --------- No upcoming wizarding war/No Voldemort. Themes such as blood purity are still featured.
