Centuries fairies would grant wishes to humans who wished for simple things. Never to harm them or to trick them. It was June 1837; a couple had gone to a fairy village asking the queen to bless them with a baby boy since they could not have a child of their own.
The queen was a beautiful fairy with a gown of rose petals and her eyes crystal blue with white hair; she granted the couple a baby.
He was no more than a newborn to one as they went home thanking the queen but. They were not specific...
Years passed as the couple noticed that the baby... did not age. They went to the village to confront the fairy queen yet, the village of fairies disappeared. They were to care for the baby who was to always be a newborn baby.
When it was only the mother who had grown old and still had the baby they had named Lucian, she put him in his wooden crib as a human witch cast a spell to freeze time on the home. Lucian was put to an eternal sleep as his mother who disappeared and passed away. Was gone, someday, someone might be able to raise the baby who cannot age.

Rumerra - The Journey Begins by AACrow
69 parts Complete
Since she was a little girl, Velvet has been reading stories about great wizards and witches of Rumerra's past, wishing every night to wake up one day and be blessed with the affinity for magic herself. Unfortunately, the odds are stacked against her. Both her parents had no magic and thus the chances of her developing it are slim at best. But the gods of fate smile upon her one day when she receives her mark of light, thus becoming a light witch. Acquiring magic is only the first step, however. After this comes the grueling and life-long task of mastering it. We accompany the young witch as she sets out on a journey of self-discovery, full of magic and wonder - or so she thought. Velvet quickly starts realizing that the world of Rumerra is not like the worlds she got to know in her stories at all. Compared to her hometown of Simula, Rumerra at large is vast and unforgiving. From the frigid tundra of the Frozen North to the craggy hills of Eldrasit, and the vast forests of the elven lands, Velvet encounters mercenaries, dragons, and a vast array of other creatures, all of which seem eager to demonstrate that the world is far more cruel and unforgiving than she thought. Good and evil are not so easily told apart, not everyone is to be trusted, friends can die and a happy ending is all but guaranteed. Will Velvet be able to find her place in such a world? Can she become the hero she admired in her storybooks and pass on her knowledge of magic to others as she always wanted? Or will the cruel reality shatter her illusion and bring the girl to her knees?

Empire Island, Exile the First

34 parts Complete Mature

Kairos is the name, just your average magically gifted Guardian running from her problems... Years ago I walked away from my home, Empire Island, and turned my back on my sacred vow to protect its magic. I thought I could enjoy my freedom, but my past has caught up to me. The island is under threat from demon-possessed recruits destroying hallowed land and poisoning the Well Source of magic. I kicked their ass right away, only to discover the threat I never expected to face was behind it all. Demon King Uruk'Zu himself. To make matters worse, my younger sister has gone missing. Caught up in emotion, I kissed the man who has haunted my dreams for years. It was an innocent kiss, or so I thought. Turns out it was a bad idea. Very bad. With that one kiss we woke a centuries-old fated-mate spell that will curse my life if I deny it. I don't know how I'll fight these invaders, protect my island, find my sister, navigate family drama, destroy the Daemon King and handle this whole fated-mate hot-guy thing. I'd rather run away again, but if I fail, the thin veil of magic separating worlds will tear. Dark chaos will consume my island, everyone I love, and the entire world. No biggie, right? Now if only I could remember how to cast a spell...
