Clearwing is not a normal SilkWing.
It's not the fact that she has black scales, something no other SilkWing does - although that probably plays a part in it. No, it's because she can see things.
Where other dragons are blind, Clearwing shines a filament of flamesilk into the darkness. It doesn't do much to disperse it, but she can still make her way around. Because Clearwing can feel other dragons emotions, see their futures and their pasts, and tell if they're lying or telling the truth. But in every future where she reveals her secret, all there is in every direction is bloodshed, pain, and death. So she's never told any dragon. Well, other than Coal, her strange, black-scaled, fire-breathing, two-winged best friend.
When her home is set on fire by LeafWings and darkness begins to corrupt Pantala, Clearwing, Coal, and their new friends must fight to save the world they know - or risk losing everything to the othermind's vines.

Friend, or Foe? If there was a single thing Radiant didn't hate, it wouldn't have existed for long before being snatched away from her. Radiant never had it good growing up in Wasp Hive; the terrible teachers and the looming threat of a tyrannical queen being the main factors of course. Radiant has always known that HiveWings were evil and her tribe was practically useless to both her or to stop Wasp. It was beginning to seem as though she'd never find anything positive to say about life. That would've been until she would be bought by a rich HiveWing in Hornet Hive. A 'Duke', if you will. A well mannered HiveWing who treats Radiant with... Respect? Kindness? Is it all a trick set up by Wasp herself to confess her blasphemy to this puppet, or is this dragon really sincere to her?
