Tim was tired. He tried to stay in the loop; grabbing Coffee with Dick while he was on Patrol, or taking Damian to his Violin Lessons, but it wasn't enough. He was tired to trying to fit in.
After a years of him running himself into the ground, with little to no thanks in return, he decides enough is enough. He realizes it's time for him to leave the Bat's nest. He packs up, and he and his girlfriend move to upstate New York, where he begins to live happily.
He isn't as stressed, he is able to do as he pleases. He's FREE. That is, until his family show up out of the blue, disturbing the peaceful life he had built for himself.
